End of Vacation

Well, yesterday was the end of my vacation with my little one. Now, we're back to our usual routine of weekeday visits and lots of driving. Unfortunately, my little one was ill most of her vacation time with me. However, I was fortunate that she was ill at home with me so that I could take care of her. She's back to normal now but did have a fever for a few days. It's really scary when young ones have a fever. As her mommy, worry alot. Fortunately, the fever came down after a couple of days.

Summer Vacation

I'm so happy! My little one will be able to spend a whole week at home with mommy. She loves going to school so I'm going to continue to let her attend even on her vacation time. The weekend is going to be full of activities for her and as soon as I tell her, I'm sure she'll be estatic! I'll be bringing her home later today and she's looking forward to going to buy sheets for her mattress at school. She's looking forward to staying longer at school with her friends and has asked me numerous times if she could nap at school. I think she's growing up. :)

Again to Papas!

My little one left this afternoon after school to her daddy's. Fortunately, I have the opportunity to spend some quality time with her before she goes. After school, I took her to buy new shoes and a few accessories. They just grow up so quickly. It seems like I'm buying shoes every few months. After our shopping spree, we went home to try on the new items and spend quality time together before she headed off. Prior to her daddy coming up, she told me that she didn't want to go. I told her that it was ok. Mama would pick her up on Sunday and we'll have lots of fun again. She was reluctant but went. I miss her already but know that this is my opportunity to focus on building a better life for her in the future.

4th of July

Yipee! My little one gets to stay home with mommy for 2 days. We had a wonderful lazy day yesterday and today. We went to the beach, watched videos (educational children's), did some bike riding and basically, lazed around all day. I don't remember the last time I was able to do this. Today, my little one and I are going to bake cookies at uncle's house. Maybe later because it's so hot! She's napping now so we'll see what she would like to do when she wakes up. :)

Emotionally Relieved...

Last Thursday was the end of vacation for my little one and her daddy. It was a long week for me; however, I have learned to adjust. Last year was extremely difficult with her being so young and being gone for such a long time. This year, I made sure that I kept very busy so that I don't have too much time to dwell on the thought that she was away. I'm happy that she's back and so is she. We've been doing our usual "mommy and me" things since she's been back. My little one loves Souplantation so we had dinner there on Friday evening. Chinatown is another one of her favorites so we spent half a day there on Saturday. Last night was the bookstore. She loves reading and I always encourage it. Well, we'll see what today holds. I'm picking her up from her daddy's later this evening.

Late As Usual...

Well, last Friday was the beginning of vacation time for my little one with her daddy. He was suppose to pick her up at 12:30pm from school but as usual, he was late. He told me that he got lost so I called my little one's school to let them know. They were trying desperately to locate him as well because my little one was sitting in the classroom while all the others were napping. Apparently, he told the school another story....that there was an accident on the freeway. I've heard this one before more than once. Every time he's late, I've come to expect this excuse. Again, he was twisting the story to his benefit. I spoke to my little one's teacher and she told me that he was 1/2 an hour late. She was very disappointed because of what my little one has to go through. She told me that the office would charge him $1 a minute for each minute late. That would be $30 and they would send the bill to him. I agreed that this was the right thing to do and bid the teacher a good day after a short conversation.

My Baby's Vacation Time with Dad

Today was my little one's first day of vacation with her dad. She's going to be gone for a week and it's going to be difficult for me but I learned that the best thing to do is to keep busy. I was able to convince him to let her attend school before taking her. Next week is her last week of school before summer and I was afraid that she wouldn't be able to say bye to her friends. So, I was really glad that she was able to go to school today. She had really wanted to go too. She enjoys school so much and has come out of her reserved shell a bit which is a very good thing. Her first time away this length of time was last year. It was so difficult for me. I couldn't even sleep. But this year, I told myself that I would work on bettering myself each time she was gone. This has helped. So now, I have goals, short and long term, to keep me busy. I look forward to her being back home.
